PDC Reamers are designed with a taper(straight) and a spiral blades(wings)

  The purpose of the taper is to centralize the reamer in the pilot hole to ensure a symmetrical hole is cut, equalize the size of the cut from side to side and enable you to ream from pilot to finish bore in the majority of holes. The spiral on the reamer helps to reduce chatter as well as reduce fluctuating torque.

  PDC Reamers are manufactured in push or pull body configuration, can be used both horizontally and vertically and are designed for 25,000 psi compressive strength or less hard formations. On many occasions, they have completed bores 50% faster than traditional methods.
